The cotton gin first came to Kansas in 1854 when a Polish immigrant wanted to gin local cotton near Valley Falls.
Q: How many different GMO crops are there?
A: There are currently nine crops commercially available in the United States. They include alfalfa, canola, corn (field and sweet), cotton, papaya, potatoes, soybeans, squash and sugar beets. A new approved GMO apple is coming to market soon.
