Dairy: A Nutritional Powerhouse

We can incorporate a variety of habits into our daily lives to improve and maintain our health. Exercising regularly, lowering our stress levels and eating healthy foods are at the top of that list.

When it comes to nutrition, it can be hard to know what foods we should and shouldn’t be eating. We are often told to include lots of fruits, vegetables, whole grains and lean meats in our diets. But don’t forget about dairy!  

The Healthy Eating Pyramid from the Harvard School of Public Health recommends one to two servings of dairy a day. Dairy is a nutritional powerhouse high in calcium, protein and other essential vitamins and minerals.
