Growing Up on a Farm
We’ve loved getting to know so many wonderful farmers and ranchers across Kansas. Many of them talk about the importance of family, of being raised on a farm or raising their own children on a farm.
We couldn’t help but wonder what kids would say about the experience. So, we asked, “What do you like about growing up on a farm?” And we love what they had to say!
The Heiniger Kids

The Small Family
“I like living on a farm because it gives me some freedom and my parents let me help make decisions. I like helping pick the bulls to breed to our cows. When the calves arrive, it is like Christmas to me. You don't know what to expect, but it is always exciting to me. I don't even mind snow days during calving season, because that means I can help with the baby calves.”
