Spotlight on Beef Industry Sustainability

Ensuring a sustainable food supply is undoubtedly one of the greatest societal challenges. By 2050, 70 percent more food will be required to feed the growing population and all those involved in agricultural production must help  meet the increasing demand.

The Beef Industry Sustainability Assessment was designed to capture how changes in management practices have affected beef’s long-term sustainability. In addition, it provides a benchmark which will help all beef operators along the supply chain find ways to improve the efficiency and sustainability of their operations.
