Calling all cycling enthusiasts!
If you’re looking for some fitness motivation, we have a fun event for you: the 2018 Biking Across Kansas (BAK) bicycle tour. The tour runs across the state from the Colorado border to the Missouri border and provides a unique way to see the state’s beautiful scenery—from the high plains to the rolling hills—all with warm Kansas hospitality along the way.
Each year, BAK features a different route. This year, the tour will pass through:
- Johnson City
- Belle Plaine
- Elk City
- St. Paul
It will include overnight stops in:
Cyclists from all over Kansas and as far away as Massachusetts, Florida and California join in, and they range in age from 8 to 80! This will be the 44th year of the event.
- Adobe Museum in Ulysses
- The Stauth Museum in Montezuma
- The Dalton Gang Hideout in Meade
- The Big Basin sinkhole in Clark County
- The World's Largest Hand-Dug Well in Greensburg
- The Bartlett Arboretum in Belle Plaine
- Historic Fort Scott
So break out the bike and start training… or at least get your map of Kansas out to follow along!
