Learn about flowers, veggies, soil and water at K-State’s Annual Horticulture Night!
As summer comes to a close, it’s a great time for gardeners to enjoy the final fruits of their labor. It’s also a great time to reflect on what worked — or didn’t! — in the garden.
The K-State Agricultural Research Center in Hays will be doing just that at their Annual Horticulture Night.
Presenters will be talking about:
- Sustainable gardening
- Water-smart landscaping
- Testing and understanding your soil
The event isn’t just for experts! Information for homeowners on recommended plant varieties — from Prairie Star flowers to shrubs and grasses — will be available.
Plus, you can see a demonstration of low-water use turf grass and sample different vegetable varietals from The Ellis County Extension Master Gardeners.
Attendees will get to ask questions about all these and many other topics. So, grab a friend and get some helpful information to take your gardening game up a notch!
